does it need a charge? maybe you left the game on too long in sleep mode? Try charging it or taking the game out, charging it, and then try turning it on again. Sometimes that happens to my system when I leave a game in there and then a month later remember I have the system and try to start it up again. Good Luck!

It sounds like you may have "Bricked" your PSP. This means it is as useful as a brick now. Were you attempting a Firmware update or downgrade before this happened? If so, the unit may be lost forever, and the only way to fix it is with a new motherboard. If you did nothing like that to it, if it is under warranty, I'd call Sony ASAP and make them fix it.
