It depends on the hospital. Either one or two days. The hospital i had my daughter at usually kept the baby and mother for 48 hours but they gave me the option of leaving when she was 24 hours old. I went home and she had no complications whatsoever.

I dont know what hospitals these women have gone to where there only there for 24 hours. I delivered naturally and was in the hospital for 48 hours and my son was completely healthy and i had not complications. I guess it depends on your hospital.

I had my baby at 2 am.............. told the dr. I was going home at 6 am..... they filled out my papers, and i was outta there before 6:30 am.
Im a nurse. They will judge it by your insurance, If they think your ready, and if you have someone to help you.
I was ready to go, I HATE hospitals. With my second baby I said 24 hours due to her having breathing problems (apnea) Then I went home.
With this baby I plan to leave Early.

It depends on the hospital and your insurance. My stay was different with each of my girls.
My oldest I was out around 36 hours after delivery...my middle daughter I was in for 48 hours because my insurance required it or they wouldn't pay...my youngest daughter was only 23 hours when we went home.

Usually 1-2 days - depending on how you are doing and what your doctor advises.
I had my daughter midnight Saturday morning - we were leaving the hospital around noon that Sunday.

Usually they keep you for a day just for observation and even though you both may be healthy to run routine checks on you both, once they are certain everything is fine it's home sweet home.

I was discharged 25 hours after I delivered my son. He had to have a blood test at 24 hours old and then we left.
