Sounds like a great idea. How strange are we talking though?

No, why should it? I think marriage is right no matter what age. Just because you turn 50, doesn't mean you're immune to whatever you mean by strange action on the side. For some people marriage early is right, for others it isn't. It just all depends on the person. You can't say no one should get married before 50. I'll get married whenever I find the right person. I may say that getting married at age 18 may be a bit young, because you haven't experienced life, but if they want to do it, it's up to them. I personally always thought that I'd be married at 25, have 2 kids by 30, but look at me now, still single at 31. If I ever find the right guy, I'd be crazy not to marry him at whatever age, just because I'm afraid he's going to cheat on me. If he's going to cheat on me, whether we're married or not is not going to matter. I think it all depends on the couple. You can't just blanket statement it and say everyone should wait until after 50 to get married.

If you really want to get out there and get some 'strange action', why not have an open marriage or start swinging? There is nothing about marriage that is definitely monogamous. In fact, if we want to piss off the biblical crowd we can talk about the polygamous marriages of the bible. Of course, they'll scream CULTURAL CONTEXT! And then, we'll say "Open marriage? CULTURAL CONTEXT" Of course, our culture is a sign that the end times are sooooo near. Uh huh. Just like they've been saying since the so called death of christ.

I think you'd seriously miss out on the process of really building a life together - and from what you're asking, I suggest you just keep dating, until you really are ready to be 100% faithful - marriage isn't something to be taken lightly like that.

Never thought about that but it sounds like a great idea, but on the other hand I seen plenty of oldies hitting on the young ones my self included.
So I guess once a dog always a dog.

I agree totally with you. You have to wait until you get the spring-chicken fever out first. Then you are ready to spend it with ONE person for the rest of your whole entire LIFE>>>

Nope. I've been married for 20 years now, and have no regrets (and haven't cheated). When I am 52, I will have my 30th anniversary.
