I just changed the water yesterday and rinsed my filter cartridge and put a bag of ChemPure product, which contains activated carbon and other ingredients, into filter canister. When I got up this morning, I found the entire tank water get grayish. It seems the carbon was dissolved into water or the tiny particles were rinsed off the carbon. Do I need to replace the water again or I can wait for it to clear up later.

If you know if its the activated carbon, then you really dont need to worry. But it is really an eyesore looking at a clouded up tank. Just do a partial water change to get rid of most of the dust. Otherwise, all of the things in the tnak would be covered by it and would become clouded up again everytime theres a current.

There is a chance that it might also be a bacterial bloom. Did you change ALL of the water? If so, then your tank would not be cycled (have enough beneficial bacteria). Greyish to white is sometimes an indication of bacterial bloom. I have experience it a few times.

Yeah it would be a good idea. Next time you change out the charcoal in the filter unit, rinse it first.
