More money.

1) Indecisiveness. You can't make up your mind what job to apply for
2) lack of self confidence. You don't trust your own ability to get you a job you like.
3) a desire to go into a research/academic career or teaching. You can't be a professor with just an MSc.
4) you want to continue partying for a while before you grow up.
5) your siblings or friends are getting them, and you're competitive.
6) your boss is paying for it (or the school is).

Other people say more money, but an MSc or MBA doesn't guarantee an extra penny.

The most practical reason is, that unless you've attained a higher degree than a Bachelors' or associate degree your chances for getting a job you desire will be highly competitive.
There are more calls today for higher degrees than ever before.
Most people in college who achieve their undergraduate degree will feel the need for the extra 2 or 3 years of graduate school towards a Masters.
I taught for a while in a small college, and I was happy I had had the presence of mind to go for a Masters of Fine Arts, since I would not have been approved as EVEN an applicant for a first year teacher of painting position.
That's what life seems to demand now, since we, in competitive situations, have become so many for too few positions!

I did my MSc as I didn't feel very fulfilled by the BSc. It was without doubt the best thing I've ever done with my life. So many people have Bachelors these days that a Masters is an extra step up the ladder personally and professionally. If you have an opportunity to do a Masters, then do it!

Maybe just to advance your general knowledge plus it looks good on your CV. I don't necessarily think you get more money for doing a postgraduate course.
