He is a GREAT team leader and is surly underated due to the fact he plays on a small city team. All small city teams get the butt end. For instance the best team in the NHL for a long time(Buffalo) has the hottest logo in sales and can only get on NBC game of the week once and it is the last game go figure if they do not win the cup it will be due to a bad call. Just watch. I am a Sabres fan and seen it too many times. If they are going to loose pls not on a bad call. But that was then this is now. They maintained 1st place with most of the productive guys out so I think this year injuries will not keep them from going all the way.

Nothing against Chris Drury, but let's be realistic about this.
Drury has 62 points, that does not even put him in the top 50 in scoring, and is about HALF of what Crosby has.
Sometimes that is more than made up for by defense, but this guy is a +/- of 0 on a team that is leading the league in scoring.
And the problem with the "underrated" part is something I like to call the "Bob Gainey" syndrome which is that so many people have gone around writing and posting he is underrated that he ceases to be so.

Chris Drury is good, no doubt about it. I believe he had a career year this year, but he has definitely slowed down since that Neil hit a few weeks ago.
I don't think he is that underrated anymore. Maybe at one time in his career when he was overshadowed by the Sakics and the Forsbergs of the Avalanche.
In Buffalo, he is seen as one of their best players. He is one of the best 2 way players in the league. He is also very good on faceoffs. This offseason he will be one of the most sought after Free Agents. He's the type of player that every NHL team would love to have on their roster.
Drury is a very good player. Possibly underrated at one point in his career but not anymore. Definitely not the BEST player in the NHL. Maybe one of the best 2 way players in the game.

No, Kristian Huselius is the most underrated player in the game. He's having a career year (projected at 81 points), and a wizard with the puck. How does a point-per-game player in the top 25 of the scoring race never get mentioned outside of Calgary? This guy is the real deal.

no no no Daniel Briere is the leader of the Sabres, your just saying Drury cause hes your favourite player. Briere is the key to this team they need him badly. Drury will never get any better then he is so hes just and average player that can score. but never say hes the leader of the Sabres. see if your a Sabres fan your already putting players down on the Sabres.

Drury is definatley underrated but as far as the most underrated I would say that has to Backstrom with Minnesota. He has the top GAA in the league and he might lead the Wild to a division title in the toughest division in hockey.

If he's the best, why isn't he leading the scoring race? Why do only Sabres fans think so?
Good player no doubt. Ask me again after they fit him for a ring.

well i think Drury is under rated but not the most under rated. i think that title goes to either Henrik Zetterburg or David Vyborny.
