Yes there is such a thing as an illegal order. For instance if you are orderd to murder some one are rape some one. It is your duty to not obay an order like that. Any officer are non com who issues such an order should be relieved.

That really makes no sense but my hubby is soldier on his 3rd tour in Iraq and the reason it is illegal for him to rufuse an order is because when you sign on for the military you sign a contract with the government that you will do as you or told and foloow the orders you are given whether you like them or not or you can and will be prosecuted in some form or another. So you can become a lawyer and then enter the military but if you sign the contract then it won't matter if your a lawyer or not once you sign you John Handcock on the dotted line they in a sense own you, or so that is my understandin.

Hi,Hows your day going??I will try to answer your questio so it makes a little better sence..I spent 20 years in the Army, I learned early on in my carreer to obey a Senior Officer gives you a ommand you obey it without question. There may be reasons you on't see ,such as "completeing a mision succsefully,or saving Lives of your fellow soldiers.NO to the question of becoming a lawyer before entering Service.Remember this --Complete your mission and ask questions After!!! No, they just need to be willing to accept the consequences if they make the wrong evaluation. (Hint: Taking legal interpretations off the website of a dope-addled college activist with no military experience is usually a bad move.)
