Yes. Because in movies there will be high range of sounds which are out of audible range that will effect our ear tissues which are generally thin and smooth. It is more dangerous for unborn and small babies. So please avoid movies in theatres
until ur child grows to one year.

sweetie I'm sure it may have been a little unnerving for the baby for such loudness but I'm sure it is not harmful. I wouldn't worry about it SO much i think in this day and age we worry way too much about what we do and how it could possibly harm the baby. You must sleep this way, you cant eat that don't dare drink any alcohol don't play heavy metal baths are bad etc.... I'm not downplaying the seriousness of any of these actions but truthfully when our parents and grandparents were pregnant there weren't any of these rules! for crying out loud the doctor would be smoking while examining you women were being told to have a glass of wine a day baths were all that existed at one point there was not nearly enough pollution control(hence our current situation) so i think we may all get a little carried away about some of our activities while carrying our new addition. Most things truly are common sense loud noises may be scary at first for an unborn child in our womb but at the same time im sure it will not cause any lifelong damage. I'm sorry if my answer upsets you but i think all of theses studies have made us all way too paranoid of what we can and cant do during our pregnancy next the doctors will have us locked in for nine months. So relax and know you have done you best to look out for the best welfare of your child without losing your mind! Good luck and only a few more weeks to go many blessings

It sounds like you and your husband are having some serious communication issues: This is already a bad sign. You are probably in one of your more vulnerable points in life, and he should be more* understanding to your worries and concerns, especially since the child is a product of both you and him being together. To top that off it sounds like you're in a very unsanitary position and that will only cause more problems and stress for you during your pregnancy and in the longrun. Have you tried talking with the mother personally and expressing your concerns? I hate to say this, but since you don't have any financial standings right now there isn't much you can do in the way of arguing what she does in her own home. It would be a bit different if you were contributing financially, but you mentioned that this isn't the current scenario. You need to really sit down and talk with your husband on this one. He may be feeling caught in the middle on what to do and doesn't want to cause arguments between his mother and you. However, if he's blatently ignoring your requests and not listening to what you have to say, perhaps it's time to stay elsewhere. Do you have any friends or family relatives that would be willing to put you up for the next few mos. until you start working again? Let them know the situation, and possibly offer to do chores/errands/cleaning in exchange for a place to stay. It's a bad situation all around and I'm sorry that you're stuck in it.

No, not at all! I went to the movies all the time while i was pregnant, and my baby girl is fine. I took her to the movies when she was a few weeks old, didn't realize how loud the sound was! I freaked out and covered up her ears and took her to the doctor the next day! She was fine, but the point of all that was that they are used to the loud noise. Its as loud as a vacuum in your womb.

Unless you are planning to sit, immersed in the thunderous movie noise THROUGH all of your labor contractions and give birth right there on the sticky movie theatre floor, you and your baby are probably going to be fine.

Is the baby hearing the loud noises? Probably - but at a much lower level. Remember, your little one is safely swaddled in amniotic fluid and cradled in your body.

Go to the movies and enjoy - I was so tired uncomfortable and tired of being pregnant by the time I got to 32 weeks, that good distractions like movies were worth their weight in gold.

No, You and your baby are just fine. Its not as loud in "there" as it is out there to you. She can hear, but not as loud. So its probably like a far away noise to her. If you can handle it, she can too!
