okay i have a question. i am 37/38 weeks pregnant. i have been having TERRIBLE rib pains since friday. i went to the hospital saturday night. they put me on the fetal monitoring system, and checked my blood pressure, which was pretty normal. BUT when i asked what can i do about the pain in my ribs, the doctor said tylenol pm. well i tried that. it lessened the pain A LITTLE. but only during the night. during the day, regular tylenol doesnt seem to help (both tylenols are extra strength. anyway im having trouble doing a lot of things because of this pain. its more in my right rib. but as i said. the doctor didnt do anything. i was wondering if it could be my liver/kidney or something and i just THINK its my rib. if its my rib somone said it could be cracked or bruised, i doubt its broken because if it was, iwould be in tears all the time i bet. anyway does ANYONE know what i should do about this? should i call my ob/gyn and ask or does anyone know if i have to deal with this til birth.

Yes call your OB.........I had a similar problem like that late in my pregnancy that would migrate around to my back. It was like a muscle spasm VERY PAINFUL. It was just something I had to deal with until I gave birth.

I'm 50, and while that occurs my wellbeing consultant has me take Ibuprofen (my prescription discomfort killer may not even paintings purpose it is an extra sort of discomfort) & follow progesterone cream (in an extra spot whenever) from the wellbeing meals retailer as soon as an afternoon till my waft stops. The ibuprofen stops the discomfort, the progesterone fixes the quandary for the following time round, for me a minimum of.
