1) Crickets make noise for:

a- proximity warnings (i.e- to call to others and also, if they stop, it means a threat has approached)
b- for mating
c- for communication of food and water

2) Elephants have tusks as a defense mechanism. They can use them as battering rams and goring pikes to fend off predators and aggressors.

3) Fish have scales for protection from their environment (heat/cold balancing) and also for defense. Light is irregularly reflected off of their scales, obscuring their true size, position and color, making it easier for them to evade predators.

4) Apples grow on trees because trees grow apples. (I know, that sounds like a smarty-farty answer, but it's the truth) They would grow on bushes if bushes grew fruit, but they don't. Neither do vines, tubers or stalks (with the exception of tomatoes). If apples grew on something else, they wouldn't have the same basic "swollen ovary" structure with the spongy or pulpy sac surrounding a centralized seed casing (containing multiple seeds) covered in a waxy or pithy skin. They would be something else, and we probably wouldn't call them "apples".

Did I make it in 10 minutes or less??

Crickets make noise because they like music

Elephants have tusks cos they like to look good and it could be because generally elephants grow too much and the tusks are the bits that are visible

Fish have scales cos it keeps the insides fresh when we eat them

Apples grow on trees cos Jesus made it that way

Elephants have tusk beacuase they where born like that maybe for ivory or to defend them selves.

Fish have scales maybe for protection

Apples grow on tress because if they grew in the ground the worms would eat them much more and they need air

Crickets im going to skip and go strait to the elephants they have tusk because elephants use their tusks to pry bark off trees or dig for roots, and in social encounters as an instrument of display or as a weapon. To wop or smack a hunter
