You have converted your imported petrol car to LPG. Does it requires permission from any department in India?

I have done nothing. I am not engineer.
Permission from State Transport Authority /MLO etc. is necessary for conversion. Fill proper form, pay fee, show vehicle etc.
I think use of LPG is not allowed. My old car is also fitted with LPG wires but I am using it on petrol only.

Go and check with RTO (Regional transport office), before converting it.

I think they will encourage you to do so. But must be inspected and possibly certified.
