There are certainly places in the work you could point to to make your argument, but I would not agree. Any analysis of The Lord of the Rings in such a way ignores Tolkien's original intent - to create a mythology for his England. Then again, there is such a thing as intentional fallacy.

Of cours not! Tolkien wrote his stories long before homosexuals began trying to go mainstream. Besides, he was a Christian, and a good friend of CS Lewis. The entire story is a Christian myth anyway.
Besides, in almost every culture previous to ours, there was NO problem with men having close friendships. Your question is merely an example of the depravity to which our society has sunk.
