The person who pierced your lip would best know how to answer this question. You may want to call them to make sure, but usually new piercings take 6-8 weeks to heal. You should be able to change the ring in about two months. But if you are talking about taking the ring out and leaving it out for any amount of time without the hole growing up, you may be waiting forever. Once again, ask your piercer about this. I wouldn't leave it out for more than a few hours though. The mouth is the fastest healing body part humans have so I don't think it would take long for your lip to close up.

it really depends on your body, because everyone is different...probably the best idea is for u to return to the place where u had it done & let them look at it, to determine if it has healed...facial piercings usually close very quickly (some even within a matter of hours) even if they appear to be completely healed, so take care!!! the 1st time i had my marilyn piercing done, i lost the ball from my stud in the nite while sleeping...the next morning, just a few hours later, i found the ball & tried to put my stud back in, but the hole had already closed...& this was after it had been pierced for quite some time!!! so, best to get the professional`s word!!!

No now not particularly, i've got have been given had mine accomplished because of the reality the very very final October. It swelled up for extra advantageous or much less 2 weeks, in spite of if it heals only. i did not have any concern concerns with an infection. I had to hire listerine the time-venerated 2 weeks like each and each and each and each 2-3 hours and as quickly as I ate. Btw, the piercing may well be a "Monroe".

Depends on everyone's body. Most piercers would recommend at least two months for a lip piercing. I had mine for over a year, took it out for a few hours and it closed up. I wouldn't recommend messing with it too much since it can get irritated pretty quickly.

2-3 weeks for it to heal, but wait at least a month to change it. and don't forget to keep it clean. I just got my navel done, and i still have my paper that tells the healing times for the peircings, ur lucky, i can't change mine for 4 months.

Its best to leave it in as long as possible!
but If you want to change it, it will be fine, if it doesnt hurt and has cleaned up nicely.
