Having just been released from prison this morning i have realised that this prisons in scotland are busting at the seems with asylum seekers that have illegally entered britain.
The prison system is being used as a dumping ground for people that are fleeing war torn countries and dictatorship.
My question is..Are we doing enought to accomadate these poor people /

I would like to point out that the racism and bulling that the prison staff let happen is totally out of order,and that the goverment treat these immigrants as crinimals along side murderers and child molesters...

If an asylum seeker commits a crime then he should be deported as quickly as is possible , we are not the worlds dustbin for criminals.
As for illegals ,once caught they too should be deported forthwith.
Lastly , The respect accorded to those fleeing war in their own country has been upheld and must be respected , indulge in criminal activities at your peril . we need a positive solution and what more than deportation .

The key word here is ILLEGAL! If they are fleeing from war torn countries and dictatorship,why did they not go/stop at the first safe country they arrived at?Was the UK the first country? I do not for one minute condone the treatment they receive,but anyone that CHOOSES to come here ILLEGALLY surely cannot be expected to be received with open arms and have all the pleasures life has to offer? As with all things, there has to be limitations.

Regarding taxes, every one buying anything is paying taxes, even asylum seekers.
* if u don't want them , deport them. Otherwise the government is responsible for their well being under supervission & not to let them out in the streets without food, money, help & supervission, committing various crimes to support themselves, putting strain on the people * police.
** the whole governing system regarding this matter need to be reformed.
*** Be mature enough & know who to blame. Stop blaming the seekers & blame the goverment which doesn't know how to tackle the problem.

Every country in Europe is struggling with refuges. I understand Sweden is taking the most. May be we need to do something about the state of the countries they have come from.

We are doing more than enough, some of them really deserves suport but the most of them are just moroons that has no respect or any love for our country and actually come here to behave like mafia, terrorist and delicuents when even more, most of them are not really refugees at all...

Send them back home. My husband has to pay taxes to keep these people in the life of luxury. Being fed and a comfy bed for nothing, while we struggle on a minimum wage with kids to look after. We are bending over backwards to keep these people here.

We can't afford the luxury of even recognising the concept of 'asylum seeker' anymore. The vast majority are bogus, and as far as the remainder are concerned, we are not responsible for the behaviour of their government. We really can't afford to play nursemaid to the rest of the world anymore, just to please the sensitivities of soppy liberals/lefties.

It's interesting to note that yu say the Government treats these people like criminals, as is the case, yes, while murderers like Blair get away scot free.
