My boyfriends brother has been charged with criminal damage and assault. Any ideas on what the sentence terms are likely to be for the minimal charges? He goes to court in 2 weeks time.

He has no prior record. This took place in London. It was in a shop and he was breaking apart a fight between his friend and shopkeeper. Not sure of extent of damage but injury to shopkeeper (from his point) would have been no more than a shove apart from his friend. There is apparently no CCTV either to prove this.

Depends on whether it is a felony or a misdemeanor. Past history can also affect sentencing.
