Seems like there are a kind of high number of centerfolds that have died from something other than natural causes. There's Marilyn Monroe, and now Anna Nicole Smith, but aren't there even more that have died under less than natural circumstances? Just curious.

Playmate Dorothy Stratten is one of the most famous centerfolds who died tragically. Dorothy was murdered by her husband (from who she was estranged) Paul Snider in August of 1980. Snider also killed himself. Dorothy had just been named playmate of the year for 1980. Dorothy was on the cusp of movie stardom, due to her starring role in Peter Bogdanovich's film They All Laughed. She was also Bogdanovich's girlfriend and he was devastated by her death. Eight years later, Bogdanovich married Dorothy's half sister.

Why something is wrong with the Anna Nicole thing to me is this.....
Her son died the exact same way 5 months earlier.....weird.

I don't think they keep track of this as it wouldn't be good publicity. However, given the number of issues there are/were, I would say that number is small.

You know, I've never been happy with the term, 'natural causes'. What does it mean ? It is quite natural to die, if for instance ,if one has over-dosed and failed to be resuscitated.

Dorothy Stratten was Playmate of the year 1979 and was killed by her ex-husband, who then commited suicide.
