Most think it is outer beauty.....
I am teaching my daughter that beauty is on the inside, how you treat others and how you act.
You can be beautiful on the outside, and ugly on the inside. Which makes you ugly on the outside.....

Attraction its-self is a pretty difficult thing to define....
To put it in my words, it usually begins with physical attraction, aka, Lust, between two people and may or may not turn into something more between the parties involved a piece down the road. Some of the time, it might start from intrigue, being a mental connection, rather than one of physical 'necessity', but that happens more Online than it does in the Real World; and (I'm guessing) people who meet after knowing each other only by a photograph, (at least one of them) realize they don't have as much to say to each other as they did through two (or more) modems. That's one good reason not to meet people you know Online... it ruins a perfectly good acquaintanceship... or, someone goes to jail for trying to get with a kid who was actually a cop. In either case, it was a mistake, and one not so easily remedied, especially the latter of the two.
Attraction is a primal thing; most of the time, taking place with someone who has a major crush on someone they know they can't have-- (speaking from a purely male perspective) the school nerds and geeks who pine over the most popular and attractive girls at their school, and hate the boys who DO get to date or go steady with said girls; this could possibly be the same person/people who pine over the head cheer-leader, and her Ultra-limber friends, over the girls who get invited to parties, while they're stuck home on Friday and Saturday nights, for lack of popularity, because no one wants them around-- and more times than not, the affection is not returned, which is what makes attraction so frustrating. If it were so easy to control, I'm pretty sure there would be far fewer incidences, where some kid takes a gun to school and shoots half a dozen people out of pent-up frustration and anger. Testosterone makes men do some stupid things, just the same as estrogen makes women go berzerk for one week per month.
Strange thing, attraction... it doesn't always make sense, but it's ever-present, and is the scourge of many lives. But, love it or ignore it, it's not something that's going to go away. But, if someone gives up all hope of finding love, then love was right to leave them.

I would define "attractive" as a person that is nice on the inside, respects people. I don't believe looks are everything I've met lots of good looking people that are really ugly inside themselves and it comes out of their mouths.

"Attractive" to me is a mix of intellegence, personality, spirit, vibe, swagger, and looks. I could lose out a little here and there as long as another area compensates for what he's lacking.
