Plans are definitely under way for such a highway. If built, the first checkpoint where someone would have to stop is in Kansas City. They have already begun construction on this checkpoint. The biggest problem they seem to be facing is land rights required to construct such a huge highway. There are also a few groups who are doing whatever they can to block this from being a reality. This seems to be one of the steps to the U.S. being merely a part of the North American Trade Alliance (much like the Europeans). I think the idea of the Trade Alliance is what is driving the lack of enforcement along our borders and the fact that Bank of America and some other lending institutions are making it possible for illegals to obtain mortgages and purchase homes in the U.S.
You can't really deport someone when they have their families entrenched in the community.
Fear the highway or learn Spanish. Our country will lose its economic sovereignty if this takes place.
