As long as there is hope, life is the most precious.... without hope, life is no life. Does that mean that hope is more precious than life?... Perhaps, yes, if the hope is real and sustainable beyond life. This is the principle which works in brainwashing people into giving up their lives for a cause.

Life is love energy, that which makes up all there is or All There Is, or God, whatever you want to call it. What can be more precious than that?

Many things to many people are far more precious than life itself!
Stop asking these types of things, anyone else thoughts, answers, opinions, beliefs will not help you figure out who and what YOU are, why you're here or what your purpose is!!! Only YOU can do that, just like everyone else.
Using someone elses thoughts, beliefs etc might be helpful in some ways but it/they won't FIT properly! You're unique unto yourself. Everyone searches for the answers they need and want, its been my experience that most often any answer one needs or wants can be found within... Look and listen, pay attention to YOU, allow who you are to provide the answers. It happens naturally!!! Let it.

For me, more precious than life is the human soul...it is eternal and the fight in this life is fought for the salvation of that soul...That is the most important thing...

I don't think so. Life is so vast it contains all the precious n beautiful things...love, beauty, etc. and it is vast enough to contain opposites as well...
For me, life itself is the most precious thing.

Since Socrates said that "the unexamined life is not worth living" then perhaps philosophy itself is more precious than life, for what is living if we cannot think about it?

As a Christian I believe that though the body may perish the soul will carry on. Salvation is more important than life.

Oil is of course! At least that's would President Bush would say. But the over-all theory would suggest that progress for the entire human race is worth at least half the lives of said race. Also suggested by evolution and God alike, the weak and/or evil apparently are worth many lives. There is no price of lives wasted to stop someone like Hitler for example, we pay lives to ultimately save lives for the future, hence progress would be the over-lying answer in my opinion.
