To find out where any of the recipes are sold, just look at http://www.thottbot.com

It's a very basic website, just type in whatever you're searching for, or click on browse recipes. The vendors that sell them are listed with their locations. Other good websites include wowhead.com, wowwiki.com, and wow.allakhazam.com, but I use thottbot for almost everything...

Leather generally sells for a decent amount of gold, and you can always join a guild that will escort you to higher level areas to skin for better leather. One place I made a lot of gold in the 40 levels was in Tanaris. Just grind the pirates on the east coast. They drop some good stuff to sell at AH.

Loots like the pieces of the treasure map, volatile rum, and green items drop somewhat regularly as well as silk and some mageweave. I can always sell a stack of silk on my server for 75 silver, so that adds up fairly quickly...

If none of this works, you can always run instances like SFK (Shadowfang Keep) over and over again. At 40, you should be able to solo that and there are some good blue drops in there that sell very well to lvl 19 twinks.

EDIT: she recommended you pick up whites and better, but sometimes gray items sell for quite a bit (60 silver or more). I recommend downloading the Auctioneer mod because it will show you how much the vendor will pay you for all items including the gray ones, so you know whether it's worth it to pick up or not... You can get that at ui.worldofwar.net.

To find the blue prints you have to kow where you are going. I remember some towns but not really the name of them as I havent played for some time. The Druid StrongHold place has some enchanting scrolls the person next to the stairs...the place near Felwood. Another place is the one that is all snow and only has one main town that is neutral. The last place I can think of was some island in the middle of the water south of the Night Elf starting town this place has some for alch if memory is right.

Sorry I could remember the names of the town but that is the best I can do.

Skinning can bring you in a lot of money. The best place is STV. Kill the gorillas right outside of Booty Bay. They can drops greens, blues and purple items. And the skinning off of them can be sold at the AH for a pretty penny. I found 2 purple/blue (cant remember) daggers off of them. Ziggler I think the name was...

Ok so finding recipies and such just ask around in thunderbluff, undercity and orgrimar.... as far as making major gold... mining is the way to go! definitely. my bf and i both mine we has 300 G right now he's only been playing for like 2 months. i'm a tailor and miner.. and can always make extra gold by selling bolts of linen and wool at the Auction House... you can probably do the same thing with leather. good luck... oh p.s. join a guild.. sometimes you'll get a really generous high lvl player who has accumulated mass amounts of gold and is willing to give you some. oh and always pick things up from anything you kill that has anything better than a white title then sell it either to a vendore or if it is a gree title at the auction house. www.allahkhazam.com is a good WOW site. good luck!
