I use firefox, but I'm getting really annoyed with pop ups. Is there any pop up blockers that you recommend, and that are free to download?

I have just checked, and that box is ticked, so I shouldn't get pop ups

firefox already have pop up blocker installed, just go to preferent and enable it.

You have Firefox and get pop-ups? You must not have the pop-up blocker enabled.
In the 4 years I've been using it, I've NEVER had a pop-up.

there's one FREE one from Google, Google Toolbar, although Firefox (i'm using 2.0.0.3, but 1.5.x had it also) has a built in popup blocker. open the browser options under tools. go to content, then make sure block popup windows is ticked. you can then specify which sites are allowed either there, or when a popup is blocked you can set it to show then only, or to always allow that site to show you popups

firefox blocks pop ups by default, you must have turned it off sometime, its in the "options" menu, from the "contents" tab.
