There are, other than the obvious studying (which may not be possible for this), several well-known test strategies exist, such as:
* Get a good night's rest and have some food in your tummy but not overfed, don't go thirsty lol but don't drink too much liquid beforehand so as to avoid the bathroom trip, again the idea is to be comfortable for 1-2 hours or so.
* Dress accordingly for what should be a temperature of around 70 degrees or so, not too light but not heavy.
* Listen to the instructor, sometimes they may have some helpful last-minute instructions.
* Answer the questions you know for sure first, skip ones you are not certain but make sure to go back over the test and get back to those. Keep doing this, go through and answer as many as you can easy, then go through it again and get the not so easy ones and again and again until you should have only a few really hard ones left.
* If the test does not penalize you for guessing, as a last resort a guess is an answer that just might work and it's better than no answer. Some tests do penalize, most do not, you may wish to ask this question of the instructor before starting. If they do penalize, an educated guess might still be worth a shot but you'll need to weigh the risk some and if you're not sure then leave it be, for tests that would penalize.
Some folks recommend going over the entire test all over again to find if you made a wrong answer, but I recommend concentrating and doing it right in the first place. However, just before you get ready to turn it in, do skim over all of the answers one final time to spot any possible inconsistencies or mistakes just don't spend too much time on each answer because it's only a spot check.
If it's multiple choice:
* Read ALL of the answers before you pick one. Many times the answers can sound similar.
* If you don't know the answer, skip to the next question and come back to it later.
* Use the process of elimination - some answers are obviously wrong so concentrate on the ones that are left
* Make sure the answer you mark on the answer sheet is for the question you just read - (put your answer for question 23 on answer sheet number 23). You would be surprised how easy it is to get them mixed up.
* You have plenty of time - go over the questions again and again.
* Make sure you clearly mark your answers - completely fill in the circle on the answer sheet. (you did use pencil right?)
And, good luck!

Mine is currently working on a paper exploring the theoretical possibility of higher beings beyond their electronic world. Much debate amongst the R&S section avatars over this.
