ok so some wanker crashed into my car and the garage said that the damage is about 700 and my car is only worth £1300.
I have looked up the peices i need which are a new bumber new rear light and a new bodywork panel which i just between the light and the bumper. i can by them all for under a £100 and get someone to fit them how much will that be?. is this a good idea or should i just get the money the car is worth that the insurance company will pay me! i want my car as i am going to uni in september so i want it for the summer and i need it to get to work! what does everyone think will be the best bet! please help!

It depends on whether you really like your car or not. My uncle owns an auto body repair shop here in East Tennessee. I believe you would save a lot of money by buying the after market parts yourself and then hiring an auto body technician to place them for you because I can tell you from personal experience that auto body shops make there most money by charging you ridiculous prices for auto body parts. So buy them yourself and get someone that you "trust" to install them for you. Good day.

Get a few more estimates.

Both ways, just labour or both parts and labour.

It will be batter to pay little more and let them do the whole thing, and take the full responsibility.

it depends,do you like your car?if you do,then just get the parts and hire some local shadetree mech,to put them on for you.they will be cheaper then some garage.
