They get paid around a $1000 a month during school(typically only money making sports get this allowance). They call it laundry money. So they do get paid a little. The reason they get this is b/c they aren't allowed to work during the school year.

The coaches are being paid because its their job. The athletes are students, sports is not their job, being a student is.

They should enjoy their free education because many hardworking students go into debt for decades to earn what they are given because of their athletic ability.
To pay them on top of giving them a free education would be patently ridiculous. If they need money, they can go pro.

shouldn't the cost of school go down
if they can afford to pay a football coach 4 million dollars a year
i think tuition should drop so more people can go to college

I don't think so cause college players are still in school, coaches already went and finished school. thats why they bank when they get out of college and in professional sports!!
