Yesterday I notice that $400 was taken from my cash box at home. I am sick to think that someone would have done this. All I know is that the money is all gone but the theif left behind a $20 bill. This is the first time anything like this has happened to me. I don't know what to do!

Um, yeah. But it may be too late. If you have done any cleaning of the house since then there is no prints or physical evidence to use. How did they get in? Anything else missing? Do they know where you keep money? Is it someone who you let in in the past? Who has access to the house? These are questions they will ask you.

Who lives in your household with you? I would file a complaint just in case it was a burglary. Did you check the rest of your house and see if anything was missing? This sounds like the person knew where to go and what to look for. As hard as it may be I would question the ones closest to you.

If you dont live alone inspect roomates.. seems as if they were trying to by as much time as possible by leaving the one 20$.. This means that they are close to you. A real robber would have taken the 20 also.. TRUST ME

I'd call the police. You might help catch the thief and just maybe get your $$$$ back.Just don't be surprised if your crook is someone you know.
