It feels similiar to cramping during your period. You might feel it in your lower abdomen.
Cramping in early pregnancy is often times nothing for a woman to get worried about. Most of the time, the opposite is true. A woman can be comforted by knowing that if she has some cramping, then her body is probably preparing as it should to sustain the pregnancy
Some women start cramping shortly after they get a positive pregnancy test as their uterus starts preparing to carry a baby for nine months. The uterus is a big organ and as it grows in early pregnancy cramping is expected.
Another type of cramping you might feel in early pregnancy is called round ligament pain. This is cramping that occurs as the muscles under your uterus expand and grow in order to support the weight of your uterus and baby as it grows. This is probably the most complained about cramping in early pregnancy, and one most pregnant women will experience.

You are transparent after your first trimester. Slight cramping will also be natural. If you begin seeing blood, then you'll be able to fear and notice a healthcare professional. Don't strain proper now. Pregnancy signs can come and cross. Good good fortune.

When/if you have cramps during the beginning of your pregnancy it feels just like the cramps you have during your period. It is also located in the same area, but it can be stronger and extend wider.

To me, the cramping was like short period cramps. It only lasted for the first few weeks. The doctor said this is normal, that is just my uterus stretching. Check with your doctor if it becomes sharp pains you cannot tolerate or if you begin to notice any blood.

I've never had cramping in my first trimester... I had a dull, nauseous feeling but it was never a cramp. I'd imagine it would probably feel like menstrual cramps if a woman did have them, since her uterus is stretching and growing and fleshing out.

My early pregnancy cramping (lasting until around 13 weeks) felt exactly like menstrual crams! in my lower stomach .. like I was giong to get my period, but the period never came :)
My OB said it was normal .. it's just the uterus expanding .. and there's a lot more cramps to come! :)
congrats! Good luck! God bless!

To me it felt like a stitch... from memory, the doctor told me it was the pelvic ligaments loosening to accomodate a growing uterus, even in those early days. Get to the docs for a confirmation test and to clear up any questions. There's going to be tonnes over the next few months, so don't be afraid to ask! And congrats :-)

For me it was quick, sharp, jabbing pains - around the same general area I'd get cramps while menstruating.
