My husband dreams of working on the railroad. Can you help?

CSX is hiring conductors in the Springfield area. Here is a link to the website: http://www.csxt.com/ He can apply online.

A couple of things though. If he does drugs (smoke pot, etc)
don't even bother applying. They DO random drug tests. Also if he happens to get an interview they give this personality exam. Do not select things that are risky (parachuting, sky diving) or make you stand out (being the center of attention at a party, etc) Also be prepared for him to be away a lot.

Hi there...I live in Hampden, my husband says that there are two places that he can work for....

There is the Gilford railroad company in the northampton area and there is Amtrack in Springfield.

now-a-days he might have to go through the DOT, the department of transportation www.DOT.gov

Also, keep in mind that it's not that easy to get in to those jobs. Generally they're union positions and pay pretty well. So it's not the easiest thing in the world to get into.
