LIKE ILLEGALS AND LAZY PEOPLE

The Federal Government should not be subsidizing ANYTHING. Period.

We may want to INCENTIVIZE a few things. But to me, subsidies are the opposite of an incentive.

I'm sorry that the spinach growers lost money because one of them allowed E-coli to get into their product and the FDA had to issue a public health advisory. But that's what's known as a business risk. $25 million for this business loss mitigation program tacked onto a war appropriations bill?

That's politics at it's worst.

You can raise taxes AFTER you get rid of pork barrel earmarks and special interest subsidies. Disgusting!

That's a great idea. First on the list are Churches and religious groups! Seems like too many of the Ministers, Priests, Rabbi's and Imams are getting quite wealthy. Congregations of 30,000 have a bunch of revenue waiting to be taxed!

There should be a tax on the lazy. Like those that stay at home and don't work. At this point in the game, our country needs everyone working to support the war effort. Every able adult male and female should be working. The children need to be in school anyway so there's no excuse.

Yes. We do not have an income problem, we have a spending problem Before Congress starts to talk about raises taxes, they need to take a good hard look at where the money is going and what programs can be cut.

As per usual, the smug condescension of your post is based on caricatures and sweeping generalizations, as opposed to life experience or objective analysis. And I'm 100% with the people who say that we should start taxing churches and end this disastrous war in Iraq, if you're so concerned with increasing revenue.

What about our disabled veterans?

What about that War Widow who stays home to take care of her kids? Is she lazy also?

I know conservatives hate paying for our veteran's benefits.

How about every church that promotes a political ideology loses their tax-free status- that same day.

How about we fine intellectual laziness? Everytime somebody posts something stupid here, it costs a nickel. Problem solved in like 4 days.

I'm for not subsidizing private corporations like Halliburton and Enron. I believe one of the side benefits of that would be to reduce the time Nazi Cows have to post stupid things on Y!A because they'd actually have to get a job instead of living off their husbands.

Instead of thinking only for ourselves and how many material things and money we have, should we keep helping those who aren't as fortunate as us?

Yes.

Let's stop subsidizing KB&R and Blackwater Securities!!

EDIT: I sincerely ask you.
Are you prepared to handle any unexpected illness or situation should (God forbid) something happen to your husband? You have stated previously that you are a homemaker and have no income coming into your household.
There are many families in the US who have both parents working and are still in a position of living paycheck to paycheck!
Please know that I in no way am hoping for any illwill to befall your family ....just asking a question!!
I know my husband I have discussed this possibility.
Many people have faced this issue and are dealing with these circumstances.
