That would all depend...are you working so that you can afford to study? If so, then you would value work more.
Are you studying so that you might find better work? Then you would value studying more.
Our needs/values/desires are very much reflective on our situations...right now, I value Studies because I know that with my degree, I can work for the United Nations which is what I really want to do. If/When I start working for the UN I will value Work more than Studies..
Make Sense?

The question is a fairly complicated one if you work in a discipline that requires some amount of study to stay current or qualified. I'm in a job like that, and generally, working is more fun than pure academic studying, but sometimes it's a refreshing change of pace to be able to shut off the computer and just hit the books for a couple of hours. So I guess my answer is a nice, solid, "it depends on the job."

I love working...luckily, I have a job where I have the opportunity to study my preferred career path. The fact that I don't feel like I am working sometimes makes all the difference.

I love studying, hated working. It wasn't the work per se, it just wasn't intellectually stimulating in the way academics were. My last job as a trainer was the closest thing I came to as a fulfilling job experience.
Now that I'm at home, I have the freedom to choose to pursue what interests me.

i prefer working, for e very simple reason, u can earn more money to indulge/ de-stress. as a student, although ur stress level is highly possibly linked only to getting good results, n adults need to carry responsibility for themselves. if u ask me, it's juz stress in different forms, it'll always b there, so y not choose sth tat allows u to do some form of escape once in a while, instead of juz keep studyin n studyin.

Working over studying, because studying never got me anywhere. I can't comprehend anything I read unless I read it 10 times over.

Who says you can't do both at the same time?
I always have learned more by *doing* than by reading about doing...
