If I were right in the "doorway" of a wormhole, and the theoretical device creating it failed and the wormhole collapsed, what would happen to my being?

Would I be dispersed atomically through the universe between where the traversed(as in would I be pulled, or stretched, between the 2 points)? Would I simply be at one end or the other, or split in half? Or would I be dumped whole somewhere in between?

So far I have 4 different theories, including Camden, and an ad. Does anyone out there know conclusively?

I guess you would become a black hole. This is based on reading "An elegant Universe" from Brian Greene. The concept of wormhole is explained a bit: it is a rip in the fabric of space time, a rip which is surrounded by a string, to prevent it from collapsing... so if the rip did collapse, space-time would be concentrated to a dot... i.e. a black hole.

But as Gene said your guess is as good as mine.

Wormholes are on the borders of sci-fi and they have never been studied in depth. You're guess is as good as anyone else's.

It is my opinion that you would be stuck in the middle of nowhere.
