I gave birth to my son in mid January and was recently prescribed birth control pills by my Dr. I havent gotten my after birth period yet (its been 10 weeks since his birth which is normal) so I was wondering can I start my pills with the period week pills first then go to the other ones? Or is there some reason I have to start them the other way? The only reason I ask is my period would be here this week if I never gave birth.

You really should check with your Dr to see if it is OK. I'm not sure what pill you are taking but the "period" pills are just sugar pills in most packs. So there for they would do nothing for you. If you are going to start taking the pills with out a period it is called quick start and you start at the beginning of the pack. You must make sure you are not pregnant before doing this.

Don't start the pills yet. there is a reason why the doctor says
( take the first pill on the first day of your period.) They know exactly what they are saying. Find out just why you haven't recieved your period yet.

I would just start from the beginning. You may have spotting the first month but it will get on track in a couple of months.

The Best Birth control method is the abstinence.

The other one is to know your Rhythm.

These are the only methods accepted by the Church.
