Well, there are 2 terms in use - bi-curious, which denotes a person who is still exploring their sexual orientation, and bi-sexual, indicating that the person has discovered a genuine attraction to either gender.
So, if you are still feeling confused and need time to figure yourself out, you can use the word bi-curious. If you KNOW you are attracted to both men and women sexually, then you are bisexual.

Hi!
NO. Bi-sexuality is NOT a term to cover up being confused. Bi-curious is the correct term. I am bi-sexual, meaning I have had serious, long-term relationships with both men and women and know that I feel attracted to both men and women and probably always will do.
To be honest, you really don't need to label yourself at all! I understand that it's a confusing time - I didn't know what the hell was going on with me for quite a while. The best thing to do is just roll with it! If you fancy a girl you know, go for it. If you fancy a guy, go for it!
Until the age of about 19 I was only attracted to women, and only went out with women. It wasn't until I hit 19 that I started being attracted to men. I spent the 6 years between 13-19 years old labelling myself as a lesbian; then it changed. You never know who you are going to meet in the future, who you will be attracted to, or how you are going to feel, so just go with your feelings and be true to yourself.

When you are confused then only you say that you are trying to see what you are, try to edjudicate yourself, ask yourself about your personality and think about the moments when you have felt that you are a gay or a straight. If you are a pure gay, women will never turn you on.....if you get turnon by watching a bed scene or a man fukcing a girl you may get this turn on because you like that man doing such activities...and in this respect you are a gay, but if you get excited about watching a naked woman video you may be a Bi-sexual.....analyse your innerself, you will get your answer

There are people who use the word bisexuality when they are sort of self-discovering their own sexuality. But, like I've s aid previously, sexuality isn't black and white.
There are a lot of bisexual people I've known and there was no doubt in mind that they were in fact bisexual. It's not just a cover-up all the time.

As you might know-people are born gay and that being the case it might be possible that bi's are a bit of both and that could lead to confusion.
Some folks do like to try out both just because they want to while others can, and are, in a state of confusion.
Just my thoughts on the subject.

Bi sexuality describes those who are equally attracted to both sexes. However its use has been broadened over time to cover those who are "confused" and "experimenting", which in turn has diluted and corrupted its meaning to everyone else

It is frequently used that way, but there are true bisexuals in this world.
Whoever you decide you are, don't worry about labels. Just worry about being a decent human being!
