remember outside of the government incompetence is grounds for dismissal despite what the unions say and the striking unions could only be on unofficial and illegal strike and have their funds confiscated to pay fines just like the miners.

To hell with their emotive and human rights, if because of their ineptitude soldiers are getting killed, then they should be charged with criminal negligence, or manslaughter.

However, civil servants can only advise the government and it was not they who sold off armoured patrol vehicles cheaply, arguing that they were unsuitable for service in Iraq, only for our troops to see private security advisors using them in Iraq, while the troops were sent out in unprotected vehicles.

But who is to blame, the civil service or the Minister of Defence, a gutless wannabee, who demanded that we should respect our politicians.

Or alternatively should we point the finger at Gordon Brown who can find cash to help other countries go green, but not for rifles that work, desert boots, or body armour; not even decent hospital care for our wounded.

And how about the Barrowboy Barrister Tony Blair, who aided and abetted by Lord Goldsmith, and that loathsome, lying, unscrupulous, slither of slime, Campbell, illegally declared war on an independant sovereign state. war criminals to a man.

Civil servants and public sector workers are never sacked. With the support of the unions they can claim all sorts of things, eg. We weren't adequately trained, we are suffering from stress and our employer did nothing to help us, etc etc.

I think that it is the practice of the Civil Service to move people about when they are not up to the job -- preferably to other departments. Once a person is an established civil servant it is very difficult to sack him or her except for gross misconduct, especially as the Civil Service is heavily unionised.
