The stock factory exhaust that comes with our cloud cars is very restrictive, and presents a lot of backpressure to the engine. Backpressure is a very bad thing, because it makes the engine work harder just to push out exhaust gases, and backpressure causes exhaust gases to stay around longer, heating up the engine in the process.A cat-back exhaust refers to an exhaust system that has been completely replaced from the outlet of the catalytic converter by components able to flow more exhaust gas, which reduces backpressure. Oftentimes, the cat-back setup will include exhaust piping which is a size larger than stock (2.5" diameter as opposed to 2.25" for the factory exhaust). They also include high-flow performance mufflers (and resonators), with smooth Mandrel bends that minimize exhaust restriction.
a high performance exhaust system is such a system that presents as little restriction to exhaust flow as possible. The factory exhaust system will give anywhere from 7 to 12 PSIG of backpressure, while high-performance exhausts will give as little as 1 PSIG. You will get a decent hp gain.
Hopes this helps.

Mostly pitch. It will sound better. The flow will also be improved, but only for that one part. Imagine hooking a fire hose up to the faucet in your house. Obviously the water won't flow as fast or with the same volume it does when hooked to a hydrant. To actually achieve more power you need to improve the flow of the whole system, from the air cleaner, all the way to the tailpipe. Think of your engine as a big air pump; the more air you can move, the more power you can produce. You can double the horsepower of an average engine if you increase the flow capacities of the: Air intake, throttle body, intake manifold, cylinder heads + valves, exhaust manifolds, converters, and the cat back exhaust.

It generally flows better with the Cat Back System also it does help if you are gonna modify the engine itself, the better flowing exhaust helps pull more horsepower out of the parts you have installed so to speak... It does make a difference...

Your stock system has all these imperfections in the tubing and a bunch of sound dampening baffles in the muffler which impede airflow so installing a catback system does help because the muffler is a better flowing design and the tubing is mandrel bent so it does help a bunch

Yes there is a difference. I own one of the best upconverting Blu Ray players on the market. My LG Super Blu player does a great job upconverting regular DVD's. I have actually tricked some friends into thinking they were watching hi def. Then I put in a Blu Ray or an HD DVD just when they thought the picture couldn't get any better. They are blown away as there is a big difference. The larger your screen is the bigger the difference will be. A 1080p picture on a larger 1080p screen is the best of the best and yes you can tell.

Cat-back is just one style of performance exhaust system. It replaces everything in line after the catalytic converter. They also have full exhaust replacements that involve replacing the headers too.
The concept behind a performance exhaust is that it restricts airflow less so it is easier for the engine to expell used air and if you get a decent air intake too the engine will breathe in easier too. That translates to more power at the wheels.

the stock system only has mufflers between the engine and the end of the pipes...with a cat-back ,there is a catalytic converter pus the mufflers to decrease air pollutants

A "Cat Back" is a modified exhaust system from the catalytic convertor back. The lower back pressure is supposed to increase horsepower.

its the same thing. Cat back refers to the part of the exhaust system (pipes and muffler) from the catalytic converter to the back of the car. The front of the exhaust is the y-pipe and the catalytic converter.
