It's not sad, but has a bit of a sadness to it
---Save Me From Myself by Christina Aguilera
(Beautiful lyrics, softly sung unlike her other stuff)
---Your House by Alanis Morissette
(The hidden track at the end of Jagged Little Pill, sung accapella)

Alabama 3's Peace In The Valley. Not really a sad song at I feel it's about hope, kind of like REM's Everybody Hurts.

theres a few, but the best are probably, Hurt- jonny cash (cause it was his last released song and it just feels so sad and stuff, plus the single piano note just reaches through everything else), Hallelujah- rufus wainright (the singin just gets to ye lol) and Golums song - cant remember the womans name, buts its the 2 towers soundtrack (the singin is really kinda haunting, and if u know the story it adds to it)

Ghost Story by sting. Funny thing was had been at hospital to say goodbye to my gran, and drove the half hour home. I had this CD on, and this trac came on just as I got home. I sat in the car and listened to the haunting harp, and cheerful upturn at the end. It finished then I got the call to say she had just passed away.

Whitney Houston 'All at Once' it sticks out in my mind because I listened to it a lot when my first love cheated on me with another girl. I was devastated at the time but in retrospect it was puppy love! They say the first cut is the deepest (another great sad song!) and it really is!

Philadephia by Neil Young the tone and mood of the song are so poignant combined with the meaning and sadness of the film. It reduces me to tears every time

Knight's in White Satin.
It was the song on the radio when my daughter left home, and at the time she was dressed in a white skirt and white t-shirt.
Did not see her for 3 years, luckily all resolved now...............
