I've never actually done that BUT it could happen. Im sure that there are some cops that don't mind the attention.

Just to be clear, Im not talking about flirting to get out of a ticket. Sometimes, when Im out and about I will see a really sexy muscular cop and his...ok *taking a few deep breaths* I need to stop...getting worked up.

It is not against the law to flirt. Officers are prone to flirtatious encounters like anybody else. The only difference is, however, that the officer should not "cross a professional line" by allowing the flirtation to direct his decision to enforce the law.

Too many people already view officers as those who are abussive with power with a myriad of other complaints.

Officers have a responsibility to maintain the highest standard of professionalism, honesty, and integrity.

It's always been my suggestion that if you wish to get to know an officer for a personal relationship, contact him before or after work....it's the safest way!

Best wishes.

Its depend on the officer that you're flirting with, I was wondering the same thing when I saw a lady officer. And I ask her, she said depend on the officer and there is no law agaisnt flirting with an officer. Unless you're trying to hide something from them.

Unless you are interfering with his/her duties, there's nothing wrong with it.

I don't think you could get in trouble, but don't expect it to get you anywhere.
