My boyfriend has 3 children from his previous marriage. In July 2006 his ex wife decided she was going to move away to PA from FL. She decided to leave their 12 yo daughter with us and took their 10 yo daughter and five yo son to PA with her. Lately his 10 yo daughter has been calling us on a daily basis begging to let her come and live with us. She will be coming down this summer to visit and we know she is going to refuse to go back to PA. There is no legal custody arrangement with any of the children. The 12 yo does not want to visit her mom because she is scared that she will not send her back. What should we do regarding the 10 yo? The girls will be 11 and 13 by the summer, should we contact an attorney and file for custody of the girls as one already lives with us and the other wants to? I believe that they are both old enough to decide who they want to be with. The oldest has no intentions of ever going back to her mom. I believe the girls should be together. ????

You should definitely talk to a lawyer. Unfortunately, The courts have a tendency to side with the mother in custody battles. But it is not unheard of for judges to let the children decide. I also think that it is very important that you sit down with the 10 yo daughter and find out why it is that she does not want to live with her mother. If it is an issue of neglect or something of that sort it will strengthen any case that you will have for getting custody.

There is not any such factor as a navy divorce. All divorces are civil concerns. Having mentioned that, the quantity of baby help is headquartered on revenue. If there's a courtroom order in location that states how so much baby help he must pay, then that is what he demands to pay. The most effective manner he would petition the courts to curb the quantity is that if his instances modified and he instantly began making tremendously much less cash. As for sending extra money every time his ex asks for it, he isn't obligated to do this and he's actually a idiot to take action.

I would. Child support is way more expensive than taking care of a kid less time consuming but more expensive.
