You have Mystic, CT. Then you have New York City and its attractions. Great Adventure in New Jersey, Philadelphia and its attractions, The Hagley Museum in Delaware, Baltimore's Inner Harbor, Washington D.C., The Rich, ond Braves ballpark right off I-95 in Richmond, VA. King's Dominion Theme Park is nearby. South of the Border, Savannah, GA with its historic district (Do not miss!), If you want a real smalltown charming experience, try St. Marys, which is 6 miles east of I-95 exit #3 in GA. It has a historic district with shops and museums. The district fronts on the St. Marys River, which forms the border between GA and FL.
Fort Clinch State Park in extreme north FL. There are tons of state parks along your route. Many contain historic sites. They are very good value and low budget.

Things to stock up on: Electronic Yahtzee for everybody eligible (that's been a life safer for me, as I'm recovering from some health issues); patato chips (if you have Pringles in your area, they have low oil and come in airtight containers. I THINK they also make Munchos like that); grapes, grapefruit slices, oranges, bacon sandwiches, sausage biscuit sandwiches, 3 liter soft drinks of choice. Go to: www@expedia.com for travel information. Good luck to you!
