Get your songs protected. Copyright them. Very easy to do should not take more than a few weeks. If you are American, look into ASCAP. American Society of Composers, Authors, and Publishers. First, get your songs copyrighted, so that no one can take credit for your music. Then, send in your music to Sony or RCA or Capitol record companies. It would also help to join a writers union.
