I was burgled a few months back. My friend Sue, bless her, just turned up to my home and helped me hoover and clean up. My other friend Diane, when I told her how good Sue had been said, "She sounds like a good friend" and that was it. I just wonder why Diane wouldn't want to also be a good friend?

Sue is probably just more aware than Diane that you needed a friend following the burglary. When you told Diane what a good friend Sue had been, Diane on some level knew that she had not realized that you might have needed some help and support, so felt bad and so shrugged it off as not important. I think she is a good friend too but just didn't realize or know how a good friend would respond.

Perhaps she feels like 2nd best with Sue being thrown down her throat?
Did you let Diane know about the burglary or just Sue?
Friends are good in differing ways though don't you think?
I have a neighbour that calls different friends for differing types of support. Isn't that why we have a network of friends?

Maybe cos Sue had done everything?! Just cos Diane hadn't of tided up, doesn't mean she's not good friend, she can be a good friend too, maybe she is in a different way

Not everybody is the same way or acts the way that you expect. maybe diane is a friend, but dont expect to help you clean up like your friend Sue did.

maybe she was just commenting what a good friend sue had been. maybe diane was a bit annoyed that it wasn't her that actually helped you out.
Either way you have got 2 good friends there

maybe she didnt know how to handle your situation...she could be jealous of your friendship with sue, or maybe would have liked you to ask for her help.....could be anything....if it worries you talk to her
