This is going back a bit! They were called Ushers (male) and Usherettes (female)

Usherettes.

I remember them being old ladies. And we were always scared that we would never get to the front of the queue before the movie started up again.

And weren't those wooden spoons for the ice-cream tubs absolutely useless for eating ice-cream?

Nowadays, you've got to get everything you want before you enter the movie room and somehow balance it while you find your seat, then juggle it throughout the whole movie.

Bring back the good old days. : )

They were called "Usherettes" in the good old days when you didn't have to leave your seat to buy popcorn etc!
