Help - I put it on my cat's collar last night since I've always wanted to marry him instead, and had a mock ceremony. I fell asleep before I took it off. It was gone this morning. I looked all over the house for it, and I can't find it!

What should I tell my husband? Or should I wait to see if it turns up?

I'm hoping your cat didn't eat it...I would tell my husband but I'd leave the story about wanting to be married to the cat and it putting the ring on the cats collar and all

I lost my engagment and wedding ring (they're a matched set so I wear them both) once some months after being married. I was pregnant and my hands legs and feet were always swelling up and staying that way for long periods of time. So fingers just got so big it hurt leaving my rings on so I took them and put them in my pocket to wait for the swelling to go down to put them back on. Hours later after the swelling was gone I reached into my pocket and the rings weren't there. I looked everywhere and I was at work when this happened so I had to tell my supervisor so they wouldn't have gotten so mad when they saw I wasn't working because I was worried and looking for the rings. For two days I didn't tell my husband and when I finally did I thought he'd be mad because he knew I always took them off when I got swollen. Instead he was very understanding and said when we could afford to another one we would (we didn't have alot of money when we got married and couldn't even afford to have at least a decent wedding with the cake and everything,lol...we barely had enough money to pay the judge to marry us) so it meant so much to have at least the rings, even if they were really cheap rings.
Some days later, a co-worker had found them and turned them into security....I was so happy that day I came into work and they said they found my rings....I've been so careful since then that I never lost them again.

sometimes the best answers to a sceneriodealing with a husband is to see what he would do , you see if you've lost your ring and can not pin point the place or time you lost it then chances are if the shoe were on the other foot he would not be able to pin point when he lost his , if you can keep up the sherade long enough to secertly take his leaving the question of thought for him to wonder where he lost his ,,, are ya following me .... then when he discovers it gone and either admits to it or sweats it out a while before saying something once he admits it either way you have a choice of putting it some place logical to where he might have lost it and say nothing hoping he don't relize it himself that yours is not on your hand. or you can come clean saying you where terrified of his actions to the lose of yours and thought it would aid you in helping him understand that it does happen and could happen to him simple.........., oh my gawd i will be certain to read the whole friggin question before answering such a assinine question i just wasted one of my better mishaps you derserve the cat with 8 lives used up knowing soon you'll have neither

I assume your hubby wasn't around for the mock ceremony and since you love your cat more (perfectly understandable because hubby gone, cat always there) who cares what He Thinks??? He's a Bozo! @80) Kiss Kitty.

Tell your husband right away. He might have a warranty or he might even have it. Don't keep secrets that is the beginning of the end.-L

Your husband has it, waiting for you to ask about it. He thinks you have forgotten it since you haven't mentioned it. My husband did the same to me when I removed my ring to make meatloaf.
