I would start a MMORPG(Massive) multiplayer online role-playing game)
It's one of the fastest growing business out there, you do not have to be experienced in Game developing,coding,etc at all.
8,000$ would be enough to start one and I would hire a couple of Game developers. Here's how I would make profit:
Once the game is ready to launch, it will be a Free To Play game but there will be a Game store where people can purchase premium/special items for the game via credit card,paypal or cash...
Online gamers will want to check out this game and the next thing you know there are thousands players online

Keep your money. I can build my crazy idea out of a junkyard. All I will say about this idea is that I plan on building vehicle from the ground up designed to reverse engineer a status quo. When I have a practical working model, I will let you know. Still won't take your money.
