59 yr old divorced male who needs some help understanding signs. On a week trip with a mixed group in same age range, talked with many ladies. Two rubbed my shoulder or upper arm while talking, what does this mean? Do they want to continue getting better acquainted or is it just a friendly response?

Well I would have to say it all depends on what the conversation was about. But I would have to say I would not rub another mans' shoulder if I wasnt interested. If a man was to rub my shoulder, I would think that there could be more. Women are sometimes very complicated, and seeing that you are divorce you should know that..lol. One thing for sure to tell about another woman, when in a situation like that and not knowing, is to try to read the facial expressions. Women seemed to glow when really interested in someone. But if you still aren't for sure, then continue as friends and sooner or later you will know. Just let things take its natural course and things will happen. Your 59yrs old and divorced, just have fun, this is like a new life for you and you will be just fine. Apparently you are a attractive man if you had two different ladies rubbing you, so just take you time and enjoy this new life.

Pops, you are cheating yourself.
You are damn near 60, you have years and years of experience on this earth that we do not have, you need to use this as confidence. You're too old to be screwing around with silly subtleties.
Young people today call it old school. You need to rejoice in being old school and be more forth-coming and dominant, c'mon pops you got to step up your game, this is no time to be coy, you should be setting the example, like and old veteran sergeant in the field.

wow, 59 and still trying to read signs from a woman ?? LOL . haven't you learned yet ?! you can never read a woman.. just kidding...... but really, the only one who knows are the ones that were rubbing your arm.. sometimes it is just a friendly gesture and other times it could be flirting.. sorry i can't really answer that better.

It means they just might be interested. (You don't touch it if you don't like it.) If you are also inclined, then let things progress on their natural course, becoming friends first, and taking it from there.
I'm a 53 year-old male myself, and also took a while to understand the signals.

I would say just a friendly responce,I do that to my friends all the time. If I wanted to get better aquainted I would go a different route.

It depends on what you guys were doing, it could be that they feel comfortable talking with you, it could be that she feels that your quite a talker. But for some it's a sign that she likes you and the attention that your giving to her or them,........try to see if you can follow the sign by calling her,you will see she might be flattered,................just follow your instinct..

Touching your shoulder would not advise getting greater advantageous and deeper acquintance. in case you like a protracted companionship then why no longer call her after the holiday or the party and ask approximately if she did savour or blah blah. although, be careful they could no longer unfastened. handle people who're unfastened.

Well it can mean many things . If you were talking to them about loosing your wife then it was sympathy . If you were just talking about whatever then it could mean I'm interested . If you were listening while they were talking then they were thankful and interested . Good Luck !!!
