I don't think I would do it. Howard had a career year in '06, and I can't imagine that he will continue to go at that clip, pitchers will start to figure out holes in his swing, or pitch around him. Vlad on the other hand, now is going to be hitting in a much more potent lineup with Howie Kendrick, and Gary Matthews Jr and will get more chances to drive in more runs. I really think Vlad could emerge as the AL MVP this year. Secondly, Thomas may be old but he is going to give you 25-30 hrs and almost 100 RBI (even if he is hurt), and I really doubt that Granderson will top 20 hrs this year. He is trying to steal Lidge from you, he went through a funk last year, but has all the makings of returning to elite closer status. I really would avoid this trade if I were you.

If you have a deep league I wouldnt do that. Yes Howard will get you fine numbers but your loseing a strong closer and a UTIL. Rememeber deep leagues Frank and Vlad are worth a lot more.... Lidge for Curtis Granderson is not a very fair trade.

I would hold onto your guys for the moment.

Don't do this. You got real lucky getting Vlad at 15th pick. This tells me the league doesn't know much. Howard may be good but, you will be the one giving up more in this trade. Don't do it and try and take advantages of these idiots. Who lets Vlad go until 15th. I wish you good luck this season.

It depends on who you other closing pitchers are, Ryan Howard is a STUD and Granderson is going to be great this year - he is a real big sleeper, Frank Thomas is too old in my opinion. If I didn't have to depend on Lidge getting me saves and if I had other OFs who were decent then I would accept the trade
