Whether liberal or conservative, presidents have come and gone. Administrations have come and gone. The structure of the supreme court has changed.

When our constitution specifies just 21 rights or powers that the Federal Government has, retaining ALL the rest to the States and to the People, how is it that so many of those rights and powers retained (interesting word, look it up) by the people have mysteriously gone over to the Federal Government?

And WHO is responsible for THAT?

I believe that it is neither "democrats" nor "republicans". I believe it is we the people that are abdicating our right to self-governance by electing people to office that have their own "party" agendas.

We have long since past the point of trusting party politics. It has become part of the problem not the solution.

We americans need to see and then do something to break this strangle hold that the political class has created on our government.

I am not well educated on the topic, and am not sure which rights and powers you are referring to.

However, if I had to guess, the president who seems to have been most responsible for the expansion of the federal government in both scale and oversight would be FDR.

Dems have done the damage. This country was founded on chance and effort, and the Dems have desensitized the citizens to those concepts by offering so many freebies. There are too many people that don;t know the meaning of hard work........thanks to them.
