a few of the rails are bent......does anyone have any idea what tool I can use to TRY them without paying over a thousand dollars for one piece of gate???

If you can take the gates off yourself and assuming the rails are not hollow you could possibly bend them back by heating them and tapping them into the correct shape with a block of wood... Be careful you don't damage them further !

Someone with welding gear should be able to do this for you... Don't attempt it however if you are not confident that you can do it.

If the rails are not extremely bent, you could remove the gate, lay a 2x4" on each side of the bend and hammer on the rails until they are reasonably straight. Doubtful you will get them perfect without a torch but should be close.

Use a 2 pound hammer and a torch to heat the iron. You have to remove the gate from the hinges and lay it on a hard surface to work on.

All of the above answers about cover it. The only other thing would be to get new iron rods and weld them in, in place of the bent ones.
