In case someone drives them to the ATM, they could be sitting in the back seat on driver's side I guess. Only thing I can think of.

Because I have driven blind people up the atm and they got out and used to brail to do some quick banking....
Also, blind people walk up to the atm with the help of a seeing eye dog or cane and use the atm ...they are no different from using it as you and I.

i have often wondered the same thing. it's rather alarming. unless the blind person is sitting behind the driver and is pulled up to the ATM. makes ya think.

My guess is that banks, on observing the spending and saving patterns of their customers, have concluded that the great majority of them are extremely short-sighted. ;)
