I have found that coming out at an early age was a good choice on my part. I know there are many out there who came out later in life. My partner is one of those people. Her family has struggled with the news, but I think they knew long before she actually confirmed it for them.

Have any of you lost a friend or a family member after coming out?

I am blessed to be able to say that I have not had one negative reaction from anyone that I have told. I do have one very close friend that believes that my "lifestyle" is wrong based on her religious upbringing, but she sees the good in me, and realizes that she is not here to judge me, but just to love me for who I am.

Personally I'm not gay,but God don't make mistakes. It's neither here nor there with me.I love ppl for who they are and how they carry themselves.I have a gay friend he's 30 and I'm 31 I've known him for 10yrs.He came out and told me about 2yrs ago,but I already knew. When I used to ask him he would say no.But he's a mama's boy he still lives with his mom and he swears she has no idea he's gay.I told him he was crazy his mom knows,I said she gave birth to you for goodness sake you think she don't know. And besides he's never bought a girl home except for me!(smile)But he's very self concious about it.If my fiancee is here when he comes over he'll leave or go straight to the sun room in the back of my house. My fiancee knows but don't bother him.My fiancee says as long as he has respect it's o.k.But it's a struggle for my friend I see it.If we go to a movies on a Friday night he wants to make sure were the 1st in line.If the movie start at 11pm we haf to go and get our ticket at 9pm so we can just walk around the mall and go in about 10:25.But I love him to death and nothing will ever change that he's a really good friend. He's like a brother to me.I would'nt treat him bad for nothing in the world. But if that's who you are more power to you for keeping it real.(smile)

She's a good Friend and I agree with her
We are not your judge and if you believe
this is your destiny or life then so be it!
REAL Christians don't try to harm others
for their beliefs but we show what the BIBLE says
We believe everyone will stand in judgment after
death including US!

Thankfully I have not lost any of the people that I have come out to (my friends and my mom). I also came out when I was 16 (last year). I have not come out to other people yet because I don't think it is there business to know as of yet. but i'm not actually doing anything to make them think that i'm straight, either ^.~

We got caught by my mom at age 19&20. They got over it. Never did lose any friends that I can think of...and if I did lose any friends over it and can't remember them then they weren't very good ones anyhow. :)

I may love you for who you are but I may still disagree with your chosen same sex behavior and that is also OK!
