This is normal. it happened to me too - I had morning sickness so bad that I lost 7 pounds in my first trimester. But...my belly kept growing! That's because there's a baby in there! The baby grows even if you lose weight. The placenta has also formed, which takes up room.

There are a number of reasons why we loose weight when we are pregnant... Many women suffer from morning sickness and will see weight loss...

Another factor is that alot of us start thinking more about our diet and health... We start to eat healthier foods, maybe eating less sugar, and drinking less soda... You'd be surprised how quickly weight falls off when you get rid of all the 'good stuff'

So just hang in there you see those numbers rise again...

Hi
DONT WORRY. I've lost just over a stone whilst only 12 weeks pregnant and gott a huge belly already. I saw my midwife on friday and she says i am fine and not to worry. You've lost only 3lbs so don't worry about it. Make sure you eat plenty of fresh friut and veg. You only have to eat upto 300 cal extra a day and that is in your 3rd trimester. Your at about 150 cal ish at the mo, thats only an extra muffin or a bar of choc a day. Never be scared of asking your GP or midwife anything their there to help not judge.
xx Good Luck xxxx

This is extremely normal! Happened to me too. I didn't actually gain a pound until I was six months pregnant. I'm now 7. The way that my doctor explained it to me was that I was losing weight in places and giving it to the baby...basically some was being lost...some was being transferred so to speak. lol

I lost weight my first few months so I wouldn't be worried. Just be sure to eat good and drink lots of water.

If you have morning sickness, it's very normal. Your baby continues to grow anyway and thus your belly would get bigger.
